is Nanofiltration?
Nanofiltration is a
liquid separation membrane technology
positioned between reverse osmosis and
ultrafiltration. Nanofiltration is much like
reverse osmosis purification, filtering many
compounds such as salts, chemicals, nitrates, sulfates, pesticides, insecticides,
and off-taste
components.
The key difference between the two is the
lower rejection levels - reverse osmosis
purification removes up to 99% of
dissolved minerals, where nano membrane
technology removes only around 75% to 80%.
