The Iron Eater-125 Series - Designed Exclusively For Well Softening &
Iron Filtration
The Iron Eater-125 Series is
designed to provide Residential and Light Commercial applications
soft, iron filtered well water at higher flow rates.These well
water water softeners / iron filters are designed to accommodate
high flow rates from 15gpm to 22gpm and 1 1/4" to 1 1/2"
PVC or Copper plumbing to your home or building.
This is a self-backwashing
system that automatically removes the trapped contaminants within
the filter bed and washes them down the drain. This is accomplished
with a digital electronic control valve that is mounted on top
of the Iron Eater.This valve is controlled by an electronic meter,
that calculates the amount of water being used.Once the meter
reaches x amount of gallons, It then initiates the backwash cycle
that cleans the bed of filtration media and resets it for the
next period of filtration.
What makes our
Iron Eater-125 Series so unique - Dual Adjustable Backwashes.
There is an initial backwash set at 10 minutes (adjustable from
1- 99 minutes in the field) that loosens the resin column and
discharges any debris collected on the top of the resin bed since
the last regeneration. We then draw in the brine and rinse it
through the resin in a downward flow. Brine causes the resin
to swell and this often causes iron collected on the outside
of each resin bead to break free in fine particles. Left alone,
these particles can and do remain in the softener and can accumulate
causing iron bleed through and sometimes a pressure drop. The
Iron Eater-125 Series, unlike virtually all other systems, has
a second adjustable time backwash which is factory set at 5 minutes
(and field adjustable 1 - 99 minutes) to rid the system of these
particles for the ultimate in cleaning, softening and iron removal.
The Iron Eater-125
is fully shipped with filtration media already in the tank. WE
DO NOT ship filtration media separately for our customers
to pour in. We ship complete and ready to plumb.
The system connects
to the main line of your home or business and filters all the
incoming water to it. It requires a nearby power outlet for the
control valve. Just add sodium or potassium pellets to brine
tank.

the sum of the mineral salts in water and if too high can result
in objectionable taste, cloudy ice, interference with the flavor
of foods and beverages and scale left behind in cookware. Generally
speaking, the lower the TDS the more acceptable the drinking
water. TDS of 500 ppm or more is unacceptable for drinking water.
Reverse Osmosis (RO) process has proven itself as the most practical
and cost effective method of correcting problems caused by high
TDS. High TDS content in water will exhibit a salty or brackish
taste.
Monitor Filter Life - we now include the CleanTap™ Filter
Monitor with every EasyPur™ Water Machine which measures the amount of water passing
through the filters. A battery operated light indicator, green,
yellow, and red is installed on the clean water faucet. When
the filter is good, the green light flashes when the faucet is
on. When the filter has been used 80%, the yellow light flashes,
and at 100%, it goes red.

This combination allows for 2-stage flow pacing whereby half-power
is provided to the lamps in conditions of no flow and full-power
when the water is running. This allows the system to operate
with minimal power requirements and reduced heat build-up. The
Platinum™ controller provides constant output current and
a universal power input, as well as visually displaying % UV
intensity, remaining lamp life and total hours of operation.
