The Tannin Eater well water filter
is fully shipped with filtration media already in the tank. WE
DO NOT ship filtration media separately for our customers
to pour in. We ship complete and ready to plumb.
The Tannin Eater tannin filter
water softener is a self-backwashing system that automatically
removes the trapped contaminants within the filter bed and washes
them down the drain. This is accomplished with the electronic
control valve that is mounted on top of the Tannin Eater.This
valve is controlled by a meter, that calculates the amount of
water being used.Once the meter reaches x amount of gallons,
It then initiates the backwash cycle that cleans the bed of filtration
media and resets it for the next period of filtration.Our Tannin
Eater includes the Fleck Digital Control Valve The Highest Quality
Control Valve Available On The Market Today! Nearly All Of Our
Competitors Still Offer An Older Mechanical (dial) Version Of
This New Modernized Control Valve.
The system connects to the main
line of your home and filters all the incoming water to it. It
requires a nearby power outlet for the control valve. Low maintenence.

speaking, the lower the TDS the more acceptable the drinking
water. TDS of 500 ppm or more is unacceptable for drinking water.
Reverse Osmosis (RO) process has proven itself as the most practical
and cost effective method of correcting problems caused by high
TDS. High TDS content in water will exhibit a salty or brackish
taste.
