RainDance Water Systems High Flow
Residential / Light Commercial Well Water Filters
The Maxi-Cure-125 Series
The Maxi-Cure-125 high flow iron
filter water conditioners are used to remove iron (red/brown
stains), manganese (grey/black stains), and hydrogen sulfide
gas (rotten egg odor) as well as provide hard water scale prevention.
Requires no salt or chemicals! These well water hard water conditioners
/ iron filters are designed to accommodate high flow rates from
15gpm to 30gpm and 1 1/4" to 1 1/2" PVC or Copper plumbing
to your home or building.
The Maxi-Cure-125 Series are
self-backwashing well water treatment systems that automatically
clean it's filtration bed. This is accomplished with the electronic
control valve that is mounted on top of the Maxi-Cure-125. This
valve is controlled by a timer, that on a regular interval, initiates
the backwash cycle that cleans the bed of filtration media and
resets it for the next period of filtration. Our Maxi-Cure includes
the Fleck 7000 Digital Control Valve to provide quick setup and
programming. Nearly All Of Our Competitors Still Offer An Older
Mechanical (dial) Version Of This New Modernized Control Valve.
This system connects to the main
line of your home or business and filters all the incoming water
to it. It requires a nearby power outlet for the control valve.
The filtration media used is
a mixed blend of state of the art high capacity filtration media.
This blend of high purity, high capacity filtration media is
designed for hydrogen sulfide gas "rotten egg odor",
iron and manganese removal. As well as bad tastes and odors.

Monthly Special
Provide extra added drinking
water filtration with our FREE EasyPur Water Machine Monthly
Special. Filter Total Dissolved Solids (TDS),
Sodium (salt), and more. Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) TDS is
the sum of the mineral salts in water and if too high can result
in objectionable taste, cloudy ice, interference with the flavor
of foods and beverages and scale left behind in cookware. Generally
speaking, the lower the TDS the more acceptable the drinking
water. TDS of 500 ppm or more is unacceptable for drinking water.
Reverse Osmosis (RO) process has proven itself as the most practical
and cost effective method of correcting problems caused by high
TDS. High TDS content in water will exhibit a salty or brackish
taste.
Monitor Filter Life - we now include the CleanTap Filter
Monitor with every EasyPur Water Machine which measures the amount of water passing
through the filters. A battery operated light indicator, green,
yellow, and red is installed on the clean water faucet. When
the filter is good, the green light flashes when the faucet is
on. When the filter has been used 80%, the yellow light flashes,
and at 100%, it goes red.

The Maxi-Cure Physical
Water Softener and Well Water Filter
Questions and Answers
The ESF (Enviro Scale Free) physical
water softener system is the core component of the Maxi-Cure
System. Its function is to prevent hard water scale buildup within
in your home (Pipes, Water Heater, plumbing Fixtures etc.)
The Maxi-Cure is the perfect
well water filter when you desire an alternative to traditional
water softeners and iron filters that require the use of salt
and chemicals. Through the use of this patented device, the calcium
content of the water (the predominant component of water hardness)
is altered so as to create a multitude of calcium crystals. The
entire process bonds calcium particles to each other rather than
to your plumbing or plumbing fixtures. A single damp cloth is
all that is typically required to remove any residual mineral
deposits.
The ESF physical water softener
has also been incorporated into the Maxi-Cure system which adds
multiple layers of additional well water filtration that treat
various well water related problems all within a single system.
To learn more about the ESF & Maxi-Cure systems, please review
the frequently asked questions below or contact us via e-mail
or call toll free 1-877-788-8387.
What is the product
& how does it work?
By using a 4-step process, the
Maxi-Cure removes the harmful effects of Hard Water without the
use of chemicals or sodium.
1st Step: Untreated water enters the system flowing through multiple
layers of filtration, filtering high levels of sediment, suspended
solids, iron, manganese, hydrogen sulfide gas (rotten egg smell)
and off tastes and odors.
2nd Step: The filtered water
passes through a spring-loaded chamber which creates a small
pressure drop. This pressure drop initiates the formation of
calcium hardness crystals. Note: This pressure drop is not noticeable
to your house hold.
3rd Step: The calcium hardness
crystals pass through a catalytic surface which greatly multiplies
the number of crystals. It is the last two steps (pressure drop
& catalytic surface) that sets the Maxi-Cure apart from similar
products.
4th Step: The multitude of calcium
crystals pass through a strong magnetic field which serves to
hold the crystals in suspension for approximately 72 hours in
duration.
The entire process bonds calcium
particles to each other rather than to your plumbing and plumbing
fixtures. A simple damp cloth is all that is needed to remove
the residual mineral deposits rather than the usual abrasives
and "elbow grease" that is normally required. The Maxi-Cure
will also result in less cleaning product usage (as much as a
70% decrease). The surface tension of the water is also reduced
which results in a higher quality of water absorption into the
human body and plant life.
 |
Example of hard water
with and without our Hard Water Conditioner.
You can see the dramatic difference
between the two water pipes. The one on the left (no scale prevention)
clearly indicates heavy hard water scale. The treated pipe on
the right has virtually no hard water scale build up.
|
How is your product
different from traditional water softeners?
Most water hardness treatment
systems rely on sodium or potassium ion exchange which can have
adverse effects to both people and the environment. While ion
exchange systems substitute salt (sodium) for calcium, the Maxi-Cure
system transforms dissolved calcium to crystallized calcium.
Calcium in its crystallized state is rendered harmless and free
from its objectionable scaling effects. Another major difference
is that standard sodium or potassium based water softeners can
not remove high levels of iron, manganese, hydrogen sulfide gas
or chlorine, bad tastes, and odors from your water.
What is your
product used for?
The Maxi-Cure system has several
uses. It is primarily used for well water residential applications
where superior water is desired for both taste and functional
use. It is also used for commercial applications where scale
prevention is required, such as; water heater pre-treatment,
Reverse Osmosis pre-treatment, ect.
Note: The Commercial Maxi-Cure system is currently used as pre-treatment
for approximately 2,000 commercial membrane elements (all elements
are still working great).
What is special
about the Maxi-Cure?
Aside from the patented catalytic/magnetic
hard water process, the Maxi-Cure is unique in the following
ways:
1. Only one piece of equipment is needed for multiple water problems.
This actually can create an overall cost savings.
2. The effects of water hardness, which normally requires the
use of sodium, are rendered harmless without the use of any regenerates
like sodium or chemicals.
3. Iron, Manganese & Hydrogen Sulfide (rotten egg smell)
problems that often require the use of chemicals such as potassium
permanganate or chlorine, are eliminated which means no dangerous
chemicals to handle, store, or purchase.
4. The existence of local bans on soft water equipment is not
an issue with this system. No objectionable chlorides are dispensed
into the drain system. The drain water from the Maxi-Cure is
safe for your septic, plants, etc..
What is so important
about not using chemicals or sodium in treating the water?
1. You are not spending money
on them.
2. You are not drinking or ingesting them in part or in whole.
3. You are not adding to the pollution of the water supplies.
Is there any
routine maintenance involved with the Maxi-Cure
No, The Maxi-Cure is considered
a maintenance free whole house water filter. There are no routine
filters to replace and requires no chemicals. The Maxi-Cure will
filter and clarify your water by filtering iron, manganese, hydrogen
sulfide gas, and suspended solids in the water. It will also
improve the taste & odor of your water. The filtration media
will need to be exchanged approximately every 8 to 10 years*.
This is easily accomplished with the use of a wet & dry vacuum
which you use to vacuum out the old filtration media from the
top of the filter. You then replace it with a new bed of filtration
media which will last approximately another 8 to 10 years*. This
is the only maintenance that the system will require. * Some
applications may require a more frequent replacement interval.
The Maxi-Cure will not treat iron bacteria or sulfur reducing
bacteria. If these bacteria's are present you will need to chlorinate
your well to prevent any iron bacteria or sulfur reducing bacteria
from passing through the Maxi-Cure well water filter. Your instructions
will include easy to follow well chlorination instructions and
detailed information on iron bacteria.
If the Maxi-Cure
does not use chemicals or sodium, what does it use?
Just water is needed for backwashing!
The Maxi-Cure creates filtered water at every tap - it does not
add anything to your water. The Maxi-Cure System will oxidize
and absorb iron, manganese, and hydrogen sulfide gas from your
water and trap it within the filter. Approximately every 7-10
days*, the automatic control valve will initiate a backwash cycle
for approximately 20 minutes and rinse the trapped particles
down a drain or elsewhere. The system will then automatcially
re-set itself to backwash for another 7-10 days*. * Some applications
may require a more frequent backwash interval.
How much water
does it use?
Not much. It will use approximately
50 gallons once per week to automatically backwash itself. Larger
Maxi-Cure systems will use more water for backwashing. This backwashing
process lifts away all the suspended particles that have been
captured in the filter bed and washes them down the drain. These
suspended particles naturally occur in water so you are not introducing
an objectionable foreign substance back into the water supply.
Will the water
test soft after the system is installed?
No. Remember that the calcium
is still present in the water but in an altered state. Probably
the best way to describe the situation is to imagine a bathtub
full of water and in the corner of the tub are calcium crystals
which are present but not interfering with natural effects of
"Scale-Free" water.
Won't the calcium
crystals revert back to their dissolved state in my water heater
if the water is not used within 24 to 72 hours?
Yes. However, keep in mind that
normal water usage suggests that a typical family will turn the
hot water over in a correctly sized water heater at least once
per day. This means that the suspended calcium crystals will
be washed down the drain before they have a chance to revert
back to a dissolved state. If you are not present in your home
for a period of time that exceeds the 24 to 72 hour time frame,
the crystals will return to a dissolved state. However, after
a few hot showers and a load of dishes, the hot water heater
will be replenished with "Scale-Free" water once again.
Please note that even traditional water softeners will experience
"by-pass" where hard water will enter the hot water
heater if the system is not regenerated before it is exhausted.
Note: Iron, Manganese, Hydrogen Sulfide Gas, ect.. will always
remain filtered.
How much iron,
manganese, and hydrogen sulfide gas will the Maxi-Cure filter?
The Maxi-Cure-125 Series will
filter high levels of Ferrous and Ferric Iron up to 15ppm (mg/L),
Manganese up to 6ppm (mg/L) Hyrogen Sulfide Gas up to 4ppm (mg/L)
as well as unpleasant tastes and odors. The Maxi-Cure will not
treat iron bacteria or sulfur reducing bacteria. If these bacteria's
are present you will need to chlorinate your well to prevent
any iron bacteria or sulfur reducing bacteria from passing through
the Maxi-Cure well water filter. Your instructions will include
easy to follow well chlorination instructions and detailed information
on iron bacteria.
How Do I Order
The Maxi-Cure?
The Maxi-Cure well water filter
may be purchased online using our secured online shopping cart

Unlike, many water filter business's you find on the internet
RainDance Water Systems is a true water treatment company. Specializing
in residential, commercial, and industrial well and city water
filtration systems. We offer installation and tech support if
needed on all of our products. We also offer free shipping on
all of our residential well water filters and include complete
easy to read step by step installation instructions for the do-it-your-selfer
or your local plumber or handyman.
If this is such
a great product, why isn't every company selling it?
Other companies are selling magnetic
devices (without a catalytic chamber) that strap onto the main-line
supply of your home. These systems are rarely effective (especially
with well water applications) and lack the ingenuity of the Maxi-Cure.
Patent law also protects the Maxi-Cure process.
For wells with high iron, sodium
and high TDS intrusion a whole house reverse osmosis is needed.
